Dover House is seeking experienced and flexible Health Care Aids (HCA) to join our team in our home-like, person centered, 24 room Senior Care Home. All HCA's are part of the team, and will work under the day-to-day direction of the Care Coordinator. This is a Part-Time Position, 30 to 37.5 hours per week, Evening/Overnight Position and includes both week and weekend availability. It offers shift differential with every second weekend off and offers benefits after 3 months.

Responsibilities and Duties
The successful applicant will perform a variety of tasks including assisting with resident care needs, assisting with resident's visitation. They will also assist with dietary and light sanitation and housekeeping.
Each Care Aide is required to perform all designated duties in accordance the Dover House's policies and procedures, and to ensure the utmost dignity, compassion, and respect is shown to all residents in care to promote independence with the assistance necessary to live life to their fullest.
Qualifications and Skills
* Graduated from a recognized Care Aide Program or Out of Province Equivalency Certification
* Up to date Immunizations – Covid 19, TB Testing or Chest X-ray
* Understand that meaning of Person-Centered Care
* Current and Satisfactory Criminal record check and ability to work in health care environment
* Team player -- able to get interact well with a diverse number of health professionals to best serve the residents in care and report all abnormal findings to the appropriate persons
* Multitasker -- able to be flexible with your day yet ensure all that needs to be done is completed
* Able to communicate effectively using the English language (along with the ability to read, write, and speak proficiently)
* Punctual, reliable, dedicated, loyal, and respectful
* Flexible to work all shifts and have reliable transportation to and from work
