Position Summary:
- Responsible for cooking menu items for all diets in quantities as specified on all production sheets;
- Prepares menu items as specified for the cooking rotation currently assigned to
- Maintains ingredient and portion control as per standardized recipes
- Participates in grocery ordering & receiving
- Supervises dietary staff
- Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures
- Ability to lift 50 pounds utilizing appropriate lifting techniques
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Grade XII education
- Valid Food Handler Certificate
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in a long term care setting preferred
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 46.5 per week
Salary: $21.00-$24.34 per hour
