Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Site Manager to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU on a 4 week on x 8 week off rotation. The Site Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of Facilities Management services for a client in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. This role will involve the planning, scheduling, coordination, supervision and delivery of all project work on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
Develops and implements short and long-term strategies for the future development and growth of the Resolute Bay operations.
Implementation and championing of Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Environmental and Risk Management programs.
Development and maintenance of project management processes, ensuring that all infrastructure and equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable regulations, project requirements and good industry practices.
Development and implementation of schedules for inspection and preventive maintenance programs.
Investigates, interprets, evaluates, and recommends the feasibility of pursuing business opportunities within Resolute Bay and Nunavut for senior management review and approval
Execution of subcontracts for the provisions of services and supplies.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with partners, clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to ensure attainment of assigned goals.
Maintains a strong public presence within the local business community and operational area by actively liaising with government agencies, business and economic development organizations, indigenous groups, elected officials, and the public.
Represents the organization at industry and community associations.
Manages and motivates the team to ensure positive employee relations and to promote individual objectives.
Leads employee development and capacity building initiatives to ensure the company has the requisite skill sets to grow the current business and develop new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a leadership role is required. The ideal candidate would be someone that has successfully run their own business.
The successful candidate should hold a university degree in engineering or a related field
Exceptional Project Management skills
A sound knowledge of and appreciation for HS&E and QA best practices
Excellent Risk Assessment and Risk Management ability
Strong client relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving, organization, and time management skills
Demonstrable experience managing projects for government clients an asset
