Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document individuals' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of disability support practices and principles
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals with disabilities, their families, and other team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
