Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Worker supports the Environmental Services department in various cleaning & disinfecting duties. These include cleaning & disinfecting equipment, cleaning of all clinical, public & support areas of the facility, project cleaning, distribution & collection of linens, collection of waste materials and recycling.
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications
Required
- Secondary School Diploma
- Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions and meet strict timelines
- Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques (to be tested)
- Willingness and ability to complete of Code White Training
- Ability to process own computer based work orders and email
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends
- Ability to wear appropriate footwear and personal protective equipment
- Respond to all Brightshores contingency codes
- Recent satisfactory attendance and performance record
- Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
