Job Description
Your Team
Invesco is building a new Center of Excellence focused on the critical work of reviewing electronic communications across multiple channels to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements so we can catch small problems before they turn into big ones. We are seeking professionals with investment management company, broker dealer, or electronic surveillance experience who are excited to be part of our growing team.
The Center of Excellence supports other areas of Invesco including, but not limited to, sales, investments, operations, client services, et cetera by monitoring electronic communications as deemed necessary by various regulators and in accordance with Invesco’s internal policies. The team helps mitigate risk by proactively identifying potential issues and escalating them to their respective Compliance Teams.
Your Role
You’ll monitor electronic communications to identify behavior which may be indicative of non-compliance with internal policies, evaluate risk and identify red flags, and escalate violations or potential violations to appropriate parties.
You’ll get to learn about numerous business lines across Invesco to support this function.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Conducting timely reviews of incoming/outgoing electronic communications
Identifying electronic communications that require further investigation and escalating to an appropriate line of business supervisors or control function
Supporting ad-hoc special investigations when necessary
Participating in projects to expand, improve, and refine the electronic communications surveillance program for various regions or initiatives
Staying abreast of relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies
The Experience You Bring:
Bachelor's degree is preferred
1-3 years of prior experience within surveillance or Compliance experience at an asset manager, bank/broker or sell-side firm
Experience working with equities, mutual funds, ETFs, or similar products
Strong communication, analytical skills, and a desire to learn
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficient to advanced computer skills or must be a fast learner
Meticulous attention to detail
Series 7 or 3 is a plus
The salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $50,000 -$55,000 annually. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
