Pennecon Hydraulic Systems, NS is currently seeking applications for an open Project Coordinator, Technical Representative (PCTR) out of our Dartmouth, NS office. The PTCR will manage a project from quotation through to turnover. The role must ensure that customer contract requirements are met by facilitating the sales process by promoting Pennecon services to potential and existing customers.
As a Project Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Managing a project from quotation through to turnover;
- Ensuring that customer contract requirements are met by facilitating the sales process by promoting Pennecon services to potential and existing customers;
- The PCTR will be part of the Engineering / Design / Operations team throughout all PHS locations;
- Develop equipment drawings and specifications, in the areas of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical using Draftsight Software (2D and 3D - Solidworks);
- Developing various monthly reports if required to client base for ongoing commitments;
- Perform manual and computer aided take offs;
- Review client specifications and drawings to develop new equipment designs in conjunction with other company personnel;
- Develop detailed cost estimates and sourcing of material prices from approved vendors. This for both internal scope of work in the PHS workshop and for on-site installations;
- Generate detailed shop & field work instructions for work packages;
- Work with Procurement personnel in order to issue purchase orders within project schedule for material:
- During project completion monitor project costs against budget with the assistance utilizing reporting as provided by financial staff:
- Ensure Company specific Quality programs are abided by when performing document control activities such as client document transmittals and tracking;
- Assisting with the development, maintenance and implementation of engineering standards needed to ensure technical design integrity;
- Maintaining competency in technical design standards (e.g., CSA, ASME) needed to provide engineering and design services;
To be successful within this position, you will bring the following:
- An engineering technology diploma in either mechanical or electrical;
- Minimum 5 years experience in a technical industrial environment;
- Strong understanding of client demands and need for highly defined documentation;
- Have a thorough technical knowledge of mobile & heavy equipment including hydrostatic, load sense, pressure compensated and fixed displacement systems;
- Ability to travel within the province, and potentially beyond on client projects
