We are presently looking for positive and enthusiastic support workers willing to work at our summer program and weekend respites! As a support worker, you will play an important role in providing a fun and safe environment for clients while giving quality care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for up to 3 clients during work time (ratios will switch throughout the day)
Continually encourage and keep clients active and engaged in fun and challenging activities that meet clients’ needs while maintaining a safe environment
Follow directions from management, supervisors and healthcare workers
Follow and execute activities according to pre-designed daily programming plans
Provide personal care and dietary assistance to clients
Follow all camp policies and procedures
Cleaning duties that must be performed during and after camp
Responsible for assisting in properly lifting/transferring clients
Interacting with clients and providing a fun camp experience
Work in a team environment
Administrative duties, as required
Qualifications:
A clear Criminal Background Check required
Must be over 18 years of age
Being a post-secondary student or graduate from a post-secondary institution and/or certificate in a related field would be an asset (ie: Human Services or Educational Assistant)
Experience working with people with disabilities is considered an asset
First Aid and CPR are required before the job begins
Must be available to work weekends, as respites are two weekends per month

One-to-One Worker
We are looking for kind and understanding individuals who work as one-to-one workers during our weekend and day programs! As a one-to-one worker, you will be working with a child who has autism and high needs. Our one-to-one workers must be able to adapt quickly and problem-solve.
